VISUALDJ is an AI editorial studio. Generative tools are part of how the work is made, and we say so plainly.

What we use AI for

Imagery, footage, sound and code in our films and websites may be produced with generative AI systems alongside conventional tools. Direction, selection, editing, grading, copy and final decisions are made by a human.

What we do not do

We do not train models on client material, and we do not reuse a client's assets, likenesses or brand data outside that client's project. We do not generate the likeness of a real person without their documented consent.

Transparency

Where a deliverable is wholly or partly AI-generated, we say so on request and label it where the law or the platform requires it, including under the EU AI Act as it applies to synthetic content.

Rights

Ownership of the final deliverables passes to the client as set out in the Terms & Conditions. Because the legal status of AI-generated material varies by jurisdiction, we do not warrant that generated elements attract copyright protection of their own.

Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all work commissioned from VISUALDJ, Vienna, Austria.

1. Scope

Each project is defined in a written quote or proposal. Work outside that scope is quoted separately.

2. Prices and payment

Prices are quoted in euros, net of VAT where applicable. 50% is due to start work, 50% before delivery of final files, unless agreed otherwise in writing. Campaign work is quoted individually.

3. Timeline

Timelines depend on timely feedback and material from the client. Delays on the client's side move the delivery date accordingly.

4. Revisions

Each quote states the number of included revision rounds. Further rounds are billed at the rate in the quote.

5. Intellectual property

On full payment the client owns the final deliverables, including the site's source and the film's master. VISUALDJ keeps the right to show the work in its own portfolio unless agreed otherwise. Third-party assets and generative tools remain subject to their own licences.

6. Liability

VISUALDJ is liable for intent and gross negligence. Liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Liability is capped at the fee of the project concerned.

7. Cancellation

If a project is cancelled by the client, work completed to date is billed pro rata; the first instalment is non-refundable.

8. Law and venue

Austrian law applies. The competent court is in Vienna, Austria.

Privacy policy

This site is designed to collect as little as possible.

What this site collects

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. It loads a typeface from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends its IP address to Google when the font is requested.

Booking a call

Calls are booked through Setmore. When you book, the details you enter (name, e-mail, chosen time) are processed by Setmore under its own privacy policy and shared with us so we can hold the call.

Project work

Material you send us for a project is used for that project only, stored for as long as the project and legal retention periods require, and not shared with third parties beyond the tools needed to produce the work.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction or deletion of your data, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing. You may also complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde).

Changes

This policy may be updated as the site or our tools change. The current version is always the one published here.
